In the previous post we had mentioned that a highlight of October was hosting family and friends from BC and Alberta. We were pleased to be able to host my Mom and sister, Ruth, from Alberta and my sister, Joy, from BC plus two of her (and Andrew’s & Colleen’s friends) from BC. We had great visits and, for the most part, the weather cooperated and helped us be able to show off some Ontario fall beauty to our western visitors.
The famour maples over Morrison Point Road about 2 kms from our house. In Black River, near Vicki’s Veggies
It is obligatory to take all visitors to see the dunes at Sandbanks!Mom (88 years old) was a good sport and hiked well up into the dunes.Because of the severe drought this summer, we were worried that we may not have much colour this Fall, but it has been very good.It wasn’t all sight seeing. We worked our visitors as well on several projects, including the large hoop house project. Here Ruth and Joy help Andrew install the cross braces.
